Response

When reading through these chapters the one part that i found particularly helpful was the part about maintaining a positive attitude. Speeches stress me out and pretty much all I do is complaining about preparing for them as well as having to give them. Instead I should try keeping an open mind, realize that someone might find what I have to say interesting if I put the effort into it. This is something i try to do in general, stay positive, so I feel like incorporating that part of my life into writing and presenting a speech would really help me loosen up about it!

I think this is a really good point that you brought up. Speeches do tend to be very stressful and having a positive attitude and an open mind during speeches is a must, I believe. People can feel your energy when you speak especially if it is something that you are passionate about. If you present a speech with no type of energy or emotion, no one is going to believe in what you are saying and they will tune themselves out. This also helps if you have a topic that you may not be too fond of, as long as the audience belives that you believe in the topic things should be smooth sailing!!
